2024: a dragon year, when volatility can lend itself to newness & radical change. recent times have shown that many of us expect protests, boycotts, and letters to be met with instant results, and when this doesn’t happen, there’s helplessness, burnout, and pushes for change are quietly dropped. all I know is that our feelings of helplessness are by design. we cannot do it alone. it will not happen overnight.
so who does it take sustain a movement? What does it really take to build a new world? the image of the hydra stayed with me. when one head tires, there must be two others to take it’s place. happy new year. we all have a role to play. which one are you?
